Biographies

Jennifer Ma, Co-founder of ACO

  • Graduated with First Class Honors from the University of Oxford in Economics and Management (B.A., Hon M.A.); Ex-President of the Guild – the then second largest student-run society in Oxford, whose mission was to connect undergraduates with employment options; Achieved Masters of Education from the University of Hong Kong in 2011.

  • Industry Financial Analyst at Merrill Lynch Investment Banking Division; Investment Professional at Goldman Sachs Investment Management Division; Participated in various recruitment roles on behalf of her firms, including hosting interviews, taking up Summer Champion responsibilities, leading internship programs.

  • Highly involved in the Benenden School Trust as well as the China Oxford Scholarship Foundation – both organizations serve to recruit and fund able scholars from China and Hong Kong to further their studies in the UK; Jennifer has been a devoted volunteer with Junior Achievement, AccessHK and Goldman Sachs Community TeamWork Program; she participated and led programs including educational, career advisory and interview training workshops to the under-resourced students.

 

Jennifer Yu, Co-founder of ACO

  • Graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University in Industrial Engineering Operations Research with a minor in Economics. Active member of Columbia University Alumni Representative Committee and Committee Member of the Hong Kong Choate Club.

  • Former finance industry experiences include: Analyst in the Credit and Rate Markets Structuring and Solutions team in JP Morgan, and Executive Director in the Fixed Income Currency and Commodities division at Goldman Sachs. Extensive experience in recruitment and leading summer internship programs as divisional program champion, including conducting interviews, training, designing program structure and assessment.

  • Committed to help young people through education and a dedicated volunteer in leading training programs, providing mentorship and academic guidance counseling for under-resourced students.

Catherine Tan

  • Catherine Tan is a Co-Founder of Notey. Notey is a technology company whose discovery and curation platform features the world’s top independent publishers and bloggers on 500,000 topics. Notey was recently featured on Business Insider, which highlighted Notey as one of the “15 Fastest Growing Startups in the World”.

  • Prior to Notey, Catherine Tan spent 10 years in investment banking with Barclays and Morgan Stanley. During this time, Catherine was deeply involved with graduate recruitment, was Chair of the Barclays Women’s Initiative Network (WiN) and was a finalist for the Barclay’s Chairman’s Award - a global award given to employees who has made substantial contributions to the community.

  • Catherine grew up in Hong Kong and graduated from the University of Warwick in the UK with a degree in Law and Business.

 

Claire Tsui

  • Graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics

  • Joined Goldman Sachs’ fulltime analyst program in 2007 following a summer internship in 2006 in Investment Banking Division. Spent 10 years in Equity Capital Markets Team and Financial Institutions Group in Greater China Markets. Currently a Managing Director at Credit Suisse Private Banking based in Hong Kong

  • Extensive experience in recruiting, training and mentoring students, summer interns and fulltime junior bankers

Jeff Zielinski 

  • Graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University in 2000, with a degree in Public & International Affairs

  • A 20+ year professional at the intersection of technology and finance.  He has previously worked in Morgan Stanley’s technology investment banking group, headed China business development for News Corporation, headed Asia technology investments for the Goldman Sachs principal strategies group, and currently works with a Singapore-headquartered asset manager as a senior technology investor

  • He has consistently been involved as a volunteer and donor with education-related charities: he has interviewed students on behalf of the Princeton University Alumni Schools Committee for 21 years; serves on the HKIS Parent Advisory Group; was a donor-mentor with Shanghai Sunrise for five years; and has served as a corporate partner of ACO for the past three years

Ling Pong

  • First class honors Accounting graduate of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

  • Joined Deutsche Bank's graduate training program straight after graduation and worked in its Global Markets division in London and Singapore before moving to Hong Kong in 2003. Joined Goldman Sachs in 2006 and is currently a Managing Director in its Securities division based in Hong Kong. Extensive experience in training, mentoring, recruiting and hiring for internship and permanent positions.

  • Dedicated volunteer in non-profit activities, with a particular focus on providing professional skills training and career counseling to under-resourced students.

Kevin Chan

  • Graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, and then from New York Law School with a Juris Doctor.

  • Currently the Head of Compliance with PAG (formerly known as Pacific Alliance Group).  Prior to PAG, Kevin was an Executive Director in compliance at Goldman Sachs, where he covered the securities division in the Asia Pacific Region.  Prior to that, Kevin was a Vice President in compliance at Barclays Capital covering the equities and prime services divisions, and a Vice President in compliance at Credit Suisse covering investment banking.

  • Active participant of the Hong Kong Lacrosse Association.

 

William Wong

  • Graduated from Baptist Lui Ming Choi Secondary School and University of Hong Kong (LLB (First Class) and PCLL (Distinction)).

  • Trained and qualified with Simmons & Simmons as a dispute resolution lawyer with a focus on financial services litigation and contentious regulatory work.

  • Previously in-house at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse and Consultant at Clifford Chance; currently Partner at Howse Williams.

  • Actively involved in voluntary work, current positions include Vice Chairman of Power of Love Centaline Charity Fund Haemodialysis Centre and Honorary Legal Adviser of Hong Kong Association of Deputy Principals.
