A Visit to Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital

Thank you Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital for giving our students a rare opportunity to tour around the hospital campus, visiting different departments including radiology, pharmacy, ward, physiotherapy, and many more. The sutdents got a change to catch a glimpse of how things work in the hospital! It was such a valuable experience!

ACO has invited several successful individuals to share with our students their experiences in their career path. The event started off with a sharing by Ms Leonie Ki, Executive Director of New World Development Co. Ltd, on successful mentorship, career planning and networking; followed by a panelist sharing, with Mr. Adrian Cheng, Ms. Carol Yu and Mr. William Wong as guest speakers, sharing the stories behind their career success and giving valuable advices to the future pillar of the society. Ms Jessica Young, Deputy Chairman of The Friends of Cambridge University in HK, also shared with us the opportunity of gaining a Cambridge Scholarship, whereas Matthew Leung, an Oxford Undergraduate, shared his experience in scholarship application as a beneficiary of Sir Edward Youde Memorial Scholarship for Overseas Studies. The event wrapped up with the "Meet the Mentors" session, where students met their mentors for the first time!

Students Challenged with Mock Interviews at Second Training Session
12 ACO students returned for the second training session, which exposed them to different group interview techniques. After rounds of mock interviews, they have showed significant improvements. Well done to all!

It has been a long and challenging day for the 12 students - they have learnt how to create strong and catchy CVs and personal statements through the informative workshops in the morning; and being exposed to both standard and quirky interview question types in the afternoon. We hope our advices are helpful for their coming university applications!
Congratulations to the 12 students who have been selected to join our Careers Program 2012 as pioneers! Look forward to the exciting series of activities ahead!
